Top Doug Design is the brain child of Doug Bowman.
Doug was born and raised in Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University in 2005 with his Bachelor's Degree in Theatre and moved to Chicago to begin his career as a professional actor. In 2011 life took him to Houston, Texas where he managed a retail gaming store, which reignited his passion for hobby games. In 2013 he began work as an Intellectual Property Paralegal. In 2017 his love of games and creative drive inspired him to return to school to study game design. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lone Star College Kingwood with his degree in Game Design Art in August 2019.
Life has taken Doug on a winding road which has led him to 3D art and game design. This path has been fueled by his love of learning and creativity. Now he looks forward to using his wide range of experience to design games to entertain the world and create 3D artwork.
Doug got his start in commercial 3D printing as an Associate Artist for Bad Tentacles Studios digitally sculpting 3D printable terrain, creatures, and characters for tabletop gaming. After this studio had to reorganize due to an unfortunate tragedy, Doug decided it was time to start putting out 3D printable designs on his own terms and thus Top Doug Design was born!
